King Chronicles and Urartian Cuneiform explores the journey of cuneiform writing from its Mesopotamian origins to the monumental inscriptions of the Urartian Kingdom around Lake Van. Through tablets, rock carvings, and reenacted scribal scenes, the film brings ancient texts and royal chronicles to life. A. Kadir Özdemir’s short documentary offers an accessible, visually rich look at the written legacy of a long-vanished civilization. It also features artistic vocalizations in the now-extinct Urartian language.
